Professor Olusegun K. Abiola is a Professor of Chemistry, Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun. He was previously the Lead Researcher, Corrosion/Inorganic Chemistry group, University of Lagos and University of Port Harcourt. He has extensive teaching and research experience in Corrosion/Inorganic Chemistry both at the University of Port Harcourt and University of Lagos. 

He has publications in international and local journals announcing his research findings in Corrosion/Inorganic Chemistry with several publications. Professor Abiola has been a Reviewer for several internal journals where he has reviewed publications of experts in his field over the years. He is and has served as an External Examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, for Ph.D. theses and as Assessor for Professorial appointments to several Universities and on Editorial Board of African Corrosion Journal (Corrosion Institute of Southern Africa).
