Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu is a Senior Lecturer in French and the Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Arts, University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos. He holds a B.A. (Hons) Degree in French (Ibadan), an M.A. Degree in French (Lagos), an M.A. Degree in Linguistics (Ibadan) and a Ph.D. Degree in French and Comparative Syntax (Lagos).

Outside of the classroom, he is the National General Secretary, Modern Languages Association of Nigeria (MLAN). Member, University French Teachers Association of Nigeria (UFTAN). Member, West African Linguistics Society (WALS), domiciled at the Summer Institute of Linguistics, Dallas Texas, USA. Member, Association of French Language Studies (AFLS), domiciled at Aston University, United Kingdom.
